A collection of 3, early 19thc natural history hand painted lithographs, by Karl Joseph Brodtmann, around 1824, and published in “Natural History Works”.
The artist worked alongside the author Heinrich Rudolf Schinzs, who published his book Natural History Of Men And Mammals between 1824-1836.
Brodtmann was well known for his detailed hand coloured lithographs combining scientific classification with dramatic depictions of mammals and ethnographic studies.
